The history

The history of student journalism in IISc goes back a long way, from the serious to the satirical. While first-person accounts of the early days and early manifestations are mostly hard to come by, in these pages, we have a recounting of the publication of DRAG, a campus newsletter from the 70s. DRAG bit the dust soon after its inception but not after providing it’s fair share of entertainment to the campus community, as this report suggests!

Also, taken from the Freshers’ Special Issue of August 2009, we present a documentation of the evolution of Voices  into a serious, self-sustaining enterprise, just to remind all prospective members of the rather large shoes that they will have to fill!
